Who We are — About Skaug Truck Body Works

In 1947, Tom Skaug, a blacksmith here in San Fernando, started our company with his son George. We started working on horse trailers and farrier bodies. As the years have passed, we then expanded to flatbeds. In the 1960s, we began building utility boxes and bodies customized for each specialized body. Our goal isn’t to become a production company. Our niche is servicing smaller contractors who need specialized trucks. Still to this day, we are a family-owned business. We are committed to building the truck you want, and we strive to create a personal experience for each individual customer.
